Bitcoin Ecosystem DeFi Project bitSmiley to Collaborate with Unisat to Co-Build BRC20 Stablecoin Ecosystem
In an exclusive joint AMA session held on the evening of March 15th between bitSmiley and Unisat, significant developments were unveiled. bitSmiley announced its participation in proposing a new protocol to support the minting and burning functionalities of the BRC20 standard.
The upgrade for the BRC20 protocol is expected to be completed at block height 837,090, with the actual upgrade timing subject to confirmation by the development and delivery teams. Following the upgrade, the BRC20 standard will support minting and burning functionalities, thereby providing comprehensive infrastructure support for BRC20 stablecoin ecosystems. bitSmiley will integrate its stablecoin, bitUSD, into the upgraded BRC20 ecosystem to unlock greater potential for Bitcoin assets.
Moreover, Unisat and Unisat Swap have committed to supporting the trading of bitUSD and other BRC20 assets.
This collaboration between bitSmiley and Unisat aims to facilitate the implementation and development of stablecoins within the Bitcoin ecosystem. Together, they seek to expand the BRC20 ecosystem, enrich its supported functionalities, and effectively enhance the application scenarios of the BRC20 ecosystem.
