Report: asset tokenisation to reach $30 trillion by 2030
A new report from the Security Token Market predicts that asset tokenisation will reach $30 trillion by 2030, dominated by equities, real estate, bonds and gold, reports Gold Finance. The report argues that if the US gets its act together on cryptocurrencies, Congress will introduce new legislation to ensure the market has clarity on the classification of tokens (the official taxonomy) and the structure of the stablecoin market, and that the passage of the bill will give the green light for blockchain to be used in the US capital markets. Stablecoin and revenue coins (treasury-backed tokens) will grow significantly from the current $220bn and could reach $3 to $5 trillion by 2030 when considering commercial applications, digital asset growth and on-chain revenue demand, this RWA use case will become the clearing solution and payment channel for the entire capital markets.
