The parents of FTX founder SBF discussed pardoning their son with people around Trump
On February 2nd, according, sources revealed that the parents of FTX co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried are trying to seek a pardon from former President Trump for their son, who was once a billionaire in the cryptocurrency industry. Stanford Law School professor Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried have had meetings in recent weeks with lawyers and other individuals believed to be close to Trump to discuss the issue of pardoning their son, who was sentenced to 25 years in prison for fraud. It is currently unclear whether they have contacted the White House. Trump previously used his pardon power to pardon individuals such as Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht, prompting them to appeal to Trump to review their cases.
