Sahara announces DeepSeek-R1 will be the flagship model of its AI Studio
On January 27th, Sahara AI announced that it will use DeepSeek-R1 as one of its flagship models for AI Studio, which will be launched in sync with other AI models in the first quarter of this year. An early access program for developers has also been launched.
DeepSeek was founded by Liang Wenfeng, an alumnus of Zhejiang University, in 2023. Sahara AI CEO and co-founder Sean, who is also an alumnus of Zhejiang University, went on to study at Stanford University and the University of Southern California.
The 671B parameter inference expert released by DeepSeek-R1 performs excellently in mathematical, coding, and logical tasks, and uses reinforcement learning technology. Currently, DeepSeek-R1 ranks fourth in the Chatbot Arena and is the only open-source model in the Top 10 (excluding DeepSeek-V3). Its open-source release further promotes the democratization of cutting-edge AI technology, which is highly aligned with Sahara AI's vision.
