Sahara announces that DeepSeek-R1 will become the flagship model of its AI Studio
On January 27, Sahara AI announced that it will use DeepSeek-R1 as one of its flagship models in AI Studio, launching simultaneously with other AI models in the first quarter of this year. It has also launched an early access program for developers. DeepSeek was founded by Zhejiang University alumnus Liang Wenfeng in 2023. Sean, the CEO and co-founder of Sahara AI who is also a Zhejiang University alumnus, later studied at Stanford University and the University of Southern California. The released DeepSeek-R1 model with 671B parameters excels in mathematical, coding and logical tasks using reinforcement learning technology. Currently, DeepSeek-R1 ranks fourth in Chatbot Arena and is the only open-source model (except for DeepSeek-V3) among the top 10. Its open-source release further promotes democratization of cutting-edge AI technology which aligns highly with Sahara AI's vision.
