Pitchbook cryptocurrency analyst Robert Le stated that the institution predicts a resurgence in venture capital in the cryptocurrency field by 2025, with total annual investment exceeding $18 billion and several quarters reaching $5 billion. In comparison, the average annual investment scale for 2023-2024 was "only" $9.9 billion, with an average quarterly investment of $2.5 billion.
In addition, Mike Giampapa, general partner at Galaxy Ventures, expects enforcement actions by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to decrease next year. Banks in the United States will participate more openly in cryptocurrencies; stablecoin applications will continue to expand from savings and payments to consumer use cases; merchant acquiring institutions and credit card networks will increasingly support crypto payments at checkout.
