Former football player Bo Hines was executive director of the President's Council of Advisers on Digital Currency under U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.
It is worth noting that the President's Council of Advisors on Digital Currencies consists of supporters of the crypto industry and is headed by economist David Sachs.
According to Trump, Bo Hines will be responsible for bringing innovation to the country's cryptocurrency market and will help the industry become the foundation for further technological progress in the United States.
Bo Hines thanked the US President and said that he would do his best to help the crypto market develop at a rapid pace.
As for the career of the now former football player, Hines also played American football for the North Carolina Wolfpack College team, the Yale Bulldogs, while also studying at Yale University and Wake Forest University School of Law.
In 2022, he ran for the U.S. House of Representatives from North Carolina as a Republican, but failed to secure the required number of votes.
In addition to him, Donald Trump appointed Sriram Krishnan, general partner of the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), to the position of head of the AI department, who will also work with the “crypto czar” David Sachs.
