Institution: The Federal Reserve is expected to suspend interest rate cuts until the first half of 2025
Nick Rees, Senior FX Market Analyst at Monex Europe, said that the latest interest rate decision by the Federal Reserve marks the beginning of an extension of the interest rate cut pause by the FOMC, although it is still too early to say this explicitly. We now expect the Fed to remain unchanged at least until the first half of 2025. If this is correct, it should support the rise of the US dollar in the coming months.
