Cronos EVM Completes Pallene Upgrade
On December 12th, EVM-compatible blockchain Cronos completed the v1.4.0 Pallene upgrade, increasing transaction execution speed by 600 times. This upgrade introduces Block-STM technology, enabling parallel transaction processing within a single block, allowing the virtual machine to process up to 60,000 transactions per second (TPS). In addition, Pallene also introduces optimistic execution through Cosmos SDK 0.50, optimizing block processing and network response capabilities, and upgrading the Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC) to enhance cross-chain connectivity.
