Goldman Sachs Holds $710 Million in Spot Bitcoin ETFs

In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, investment bank Goldman Sachs said it owns shares in eight spot bitcoin ETF for about $718 million.

Goldman Sachs' Biggest Investment Is in BlackRock's iShares ETF Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) - about $461 million. The bank also invested $96 million in Bitcoin -Fidelity Wise Origin fund Bitcoin Fund, $72 million in Grayscale Bitcoin Trust ETF and about $60 million in Invesco Galaxy Bitcoin ETF .

Goldman Sachs investment in bitcoin ETF

In addition, Goldman Sachs owns shares bitcoin ETF from Bitwise in the amount of $22,5 million, the fund from ARK and 21Shares - $3 million, Bitcoin Grayscale's Mini Trust — Nearly $4 Million and WisdomTree Shares Bitcoin Fund — $800.

In addition to large investments in spot bitcoin ETF Goldman Sachs also reported assets in Ethereum - ETF : $22,6 million bank invested in Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust ETF and another $2,6 million in Fidelity Ethereum End.

It is curious that in the past, one of the world's largest investment banks was known for its criticism of digital assets. Thus, in 2020, Goldman Sachs criticized Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, saying they were “not an asset class” and “not suitable for investment” by its clients.
