Bitget Unveils Bitget Pay
Bitget looks set to revolutionize crypto payments for users. On October 31, the firm unveiled Bitget Pay, a peer-to-peer payment service for users.
Bitget detailed that the new service supports several popular cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC) , Ethereum (ETH) , and Tether (USDT) . At the same time, the firm stressed that the service would incur zero fees, be instantaneous, and be available to users globally.
How To Use Bitget Pay
To leverage Bitget Pay, users must ensure they are using the latest version of the Bitget app. They can confirm this by checking for updates wherever they obtain their applications. After ensuring their application is up-to-date, they simply need to follow the steps outlined below:
- Open the Bitget app and click on “More” in the quick-access service carousel.
- Navigate to Bitget Pay and click on it.
- From here, users will see options to scan a QR code, transfer, or receive a payment.
To make a payment, users only need one of the following: the receiver’s Bitget user ID, phone number, or email. Conversely, users can simply make payments by scanning the receiver’s QR code.
For the first time, users must create a PIN to authenticate payments, with the option to set daily transfer limits. To use this service, both users need to complete Know Your Customer (KYC) verification. The most basic KYC verification level on Bitget requires users to input a valid ID number and complete facial recognition.
On the Flipside
- Bitget Pay is limited to Bitget users.
- Crypto generally allows for global payments without intermediaries, albeit with some potential wait times and network fees.
Why This Matters
Bitget Pay promises to make international payments easier than ever for users by abstracting away the complexities of crypto payments.
