More than 60% of Indonesia’s cryptocurrency investors are under 30 years old
data released by the Indonesian commodity futures trading regulatory agency (Bappebti) and local cryptocurrency platforms show that over 60% of cryptocurrency investors in the country are between the ages of 18 and 30. The September report showed that 26.9% of investors were between 18 and 24 years old, while 35.1% were between 25 and 30 years old.
In addition to demographic data, Bappebti also reported that the total amount of cryptocurrency asset transactions reached 33.67 trillion Indonesian rupiahs, equivalent to 2.1 billion US dollars. As of September, the number of cryptocurrency users in Indonesia reached 21.27 million.
