HSBC and Ant International complete Hong Kong dollar interbank blockchain test transaction under the Hong Kong Monetary Authority's Ensemble project
HSBC and Ant International announced today that they have successfully completed the HKMA Ensemble project sandbox's HKD interbank testing transaction. This is the first use case to successfully achieve HKD interbank testing transactions under the liquidity management theme in the Ensemble sandbox trial. Ant International and HSBC's use case combines HSBC and Hang Seng Bank's networks with Ant International's Whale platform to support real-time interbank transfers 24/7, improve cost-effectiveness, reduce operating costs, and use Blockchain technology, encryption technology, and artificial intelligence to improve the efficiency and transparency of fund flows.
