Musk awards two $1 million bonuses to voters despite Justice Department warning
on Thursday, Elon Musk's super political action committee awarded two $1 million bonuses to registered voters in Michigan and Wisconsin, ignoring warnings from the Department of Justice that these bonuses may be illegal. The pro-Trump super political action committee said on Wednesday that the Justice Department had sent a letter warning that its "daily" lottery program may violate federal election law, which prohibits paying for voter registration. Tesla CEO and world's richest person Musk launched the lottery on Saturday, and the super political action committee announces a winner every day until Wednesday.
