Tether suggests Türkiye consider issuing digital tokens for borate minerals

Tether Holdings Ltd. is trying to persuade Turkey to use digital assets to completely reform the country's boron market, which is the latest sign of the crypto industry trying to achieve further growth through the commodity industry. Sources revealed that stablecoin issuer Tether has proposed to government officials to create digital tokens representing borate minerals using Blockchain technology. Tether also proposed the idea of establishing a digital asset exchange in Istanbul. A Turkish government official said that the boron proposal is currently not feasible, while an official from the Turkish Ministry of Energy said that negotiations with Tether are still in the early stages.
