BEVM Releases Technical Yellow Paper on Taproot Consensus for Fully Decentralized BTC Layer2 Solution
The BEVM Bitcoin Layer2 development team has released a technical yellow paper titled "Taproot Consensus: A Decentralized BTC Layer2 Solution" on May 20, 2024. The paper outlines the implementation of Taproot Consensus, which uses native Bitcoin technologies such as Schnorr signatures, MAST, and Bitcoin SPV nodes to create a fully decentralized BTC Layer2 solution. This solution represents a significant advancement in native Bitcoin scalability, without modifying Bitcoin's core code. The paper also explains the implementation process of Musig2 and the differences between other BTC Layer2 projects like Mezo and Taproot Consensus. BEVM aims to offer increased scalability, security, and compatibility with popular Ethereum tools and applications while achieving true decentralization through the combination of multi-signature networks and BFT PoS consensus mechanisms.
