US House Representatives Urge SEC to Approve Ethereum ETF
PANews, May 23: According to the American political news website Politico, U.S. House Representatives are urging the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to approve an Ethereum Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF).
Subsequently, Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas stated on the X platform: "Bipartisan members of the U.S. Congress, including Majority Whip Tom Emmer and New Jersey Democrat Josh Gottheimer, have sent a letter to SEC Chairman Gary Gensler, urging the SEC to approve applications for a spot Ethereum ETF (and other digital assets). These representatives believe that the approval of a spot Bitcoin ETF was a significant moment for digital assets and financial markets, providing investors with a regulated and transparent investment channel. The representatives hope that the SEC will apply the same principles used in evaluating spot Bitcoin ETF applications to spot Ethereum ETF applications, thereby providing investors with a safe cryptocurrency investment pathway."
