Blob transactions have reached 100% utilization
With a significant increase in Blob inscription transactions on the Ethereum network, the utilization rate of Blob transactions on Ethereum has reached 100%. Currently, the maximum limit for each block on Ethereum is 6 Blobs. Data from the Dune analysis dashboard shows that recently, 41% of Blob transactions were Blob inscription transactions. Inscriptions are mainly used to store data on the chain, including image metadata, but the data from Blob transactions can only be accessed for a limited time of up to 21 days. The surge in activity has also led to a rise in the basic cost of Blobs. According to data from Galaxy Research, the median cost of L2 transactions in the past 24 hours was about 4 cents.
