London Stock Exchange announces it will accept listing applications for Bitcoin and Ethereum ETNs starting April 8
On March 26th, PANews reported that the London Stock Exchange (LSE) has issued market notice N03/24, announcing that it will accept applications for listing Bitcoin and Ethereum cryptocurrency exchange-traded notes (Crypto ETNs) starting from April 8th, 2024. This measure follows the announcement of notice N02/24 on March 11th, and it is expected that the first batch of cryptocurrency ETNs will be officially listed and traded on May 28th, 2024. This move aims to attract the largest number of issuers to participate in the first day of trading. Issuers must submit the corresponding application materials to the exchange before April 15th and ensure that their prospectus is approved by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The London Stock Exchange also specifically pointed out that issuers who fail to meet the listing requirements or submit applications after the deadline will not be able to participate in the first day of trading.
