Thailand to finalize details of digital wallet plan on April 10
The Deputy Minister of Finance of Thailand stated that the Thailand Digital Currency Committee will hold a meeting on March 27. Thailand will finalize the details of the digital wallet plan on April 10. ("Digital Wallet" is an important policy in the Pheu Thai Party's election campaign and is seen as the centerpiece of the stimulus measures promised by Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, including approving a farmer debt deferment plan and raising the minimum wage).
It is expected that Thailand's digital wallet registration will take place in the third quarter, and the Thai government will begin implementing the cash distribution phase of the digital wallet plan in the fourth quarter.
