Former U.S. President Trump stated in his current campaign speech that if he becomes President of the United States again, he will never allow the creation of a central bank digital currency (CBDC), which he believes will give the government absolute control over funds.

"This is a threat to freedom, and I will stop it from happening in America," Trump said. "We will also put in place strong protections to stop banks and regulators from trying to deprive citizens of their bank accounts because of their political beliefs.
