Inception Capital (formerly OP Crypto) completed its first fund raising of US$30 million
Inception Capital (formerly known as OP Crypto) has completed the fundraising of its first fund, totaling $30 million, as reported by TechCrunch. The fund, called OP Fund of Funds I LP, is mainly aimed at family offices and high net worth individuals seeking to "diversify" their early-stage crypto risk investment transactions. Investors include Mirana, FJ Labs, and Serafund. The fund plans to invest in about five new investment managers and funds each year, rather than supporting specific projects, protocols, or startups. "We hand over the funds to other institutional managers and obtain a fairly diversified investment portfolio of these funds." The fund has deployed about 30% of its funds so far and plans to continue to focus on emerging managers in the cryptocurrency venture capital field.
