ICBC Asia has announced its e-HKD pilot program, which involves a physical card with a display screen that shows transaction amounts and account balances. ICBC Asia is reportedly studying the next phase of the program, which may include the use of the "Transfer Express" value-added function. If officially launched in the future, the program will attract merchants with low fees.
