ETC Group Research Director: Ethereum may outperform Bitcoin in 2024
ETC Group's research director André Dragosch stated that Ethereum's performance may surpass that of Bitcoin in 2024. He pointed out that Ethereum's technological advancements and its position as a leading smart contract platform will reverse its relatively poor performance compared to Bitcoin this year. Dragosch added, "Historically, Ethereum's 12-month relative performance to Bitcoin has shown a strong mean reversion trend." He stated that Ethereum's performance relative to Bitcoin may recover to average levels and noted that, except for 2023, Ethereum has consistently outperformed Bitcoin since its inception in July 2015.
