Sotheby’s First Auction of Bitcoin Ordinals Series BitcoinShrooms
Sotheby's Digital Art Department announced the auction of the BitcoinShrooms artwork, which is part of the Bitcoin Ordinals project designed by anonymous artist Shroomtoshi. The BitcoinShrooms series was originally minted on the blockchain on October 22. The BitcoinShroom website and X account both claim that this is "the first Ordinals series ever".
Sotheby's wrote: "The BitcoinShrooms collection contains a wealth of references - from iconic Bitcoin memes to advanced technical concepts - a visual symphony that captures the essence of Bitcoin from the perspective of early adopters."
It is reported that the auction will take place from December 6th to 13th, and there are currently three works available for bidding. Sotheby's accepts cryptocurrency bids, and these three works are expected to sell for approximately $20,000 to $30,000.
