Brazilian Banking Giant Itau Unibanco Launches Cryptocurrency Trading Service
Itau Unibanco, one of Brazil's largest banking institutions, has launched a cryptocurrency trading service for its clients through its financial services platform, Ion. Itau will first provide access to two cryptocurrencies, Ethereum and Bitcoin, gradually opening up this feature to all users.It is reported that Itau's move is made before the Brazilian central bank explicitly regulates these assets after approving the Brazilian cryptocurrency law in 2022.
