U.S. cryptocurrency lobbying spending expected to hit record high this year
According to Reuters, as of the end of the third quarter, cryptocurrency companies spent nearly $19 million on lobbying, compared to $16 million in the same period last year. Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase spent $2.16 million, followed by Foris DAX, the Blockchain Association, and Binance Holdings.
Kristin Smith, CEO of the Blockchain Association, said, "Our goal is to directly engage with policymakers, build relationships, bridge the education gap, and establish a common-sense regulatory framework."
